Kal Cauthen
Being a native of Teaneck, New Jersey, Kal steadily nurtures his dream to become a serious actor. Having always been a fan of James Earl Jones, he aspires to one day have the same success and diversity in roles that Mr. Jones has experienced throughout his career. Currently, Kal is seeking more diverse roles as an actor. His desire is to play roles ranging from Astronaut to Zoologist. The essence of his existence is faced each day with the philosophy of Marcus Garvey who stated: "If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence you have won before you have started".
Kal began trying his hand at acting while modeling and participating in various talent and fashion shows. This persistent drive within him eventually opened many doors. As a result, he has amassed a significant amount of modeling and screen work; having appeared in a multitude of television commercials, soap operas, and movies. In addition, he has modeled for magazines, novels and catalogs. It has been the thrill of competing that has driven Kal to be successful in this profession. Ironically, by contrast his kind and gentle off screen persona and appeal is diametrically opposed to the type of roles he enjoy and seek.
Kal plans to continue to evolve as an artist, always reaching for the next level. He feels that we all need to continue growing into someone beyond who we are. His goal is to be able to look back in ten or twenty years and examine the path that he has traveled and see where his art has taken him.
